How is your Health Triangle?
The Health triangle puts forward a simple way to describe the 3 different components that are important to your overall well-being.
Physical - how much do you take care of the vehicle you are navigating this world in? Does your body feel healthy? Are you in pain? Is it acute? Or is it chronic? Having a body that feels comfortable to live in is a vital piece to your overall well being. How well do you fuel this vehicle of yours? Are you providing the chemicals that provide the nutrients to allow your nervous system to operate at full capacity?
Social - do you have the supportive relationships either in or out of work that can help you in times of stress or difficulty? Do you have friends that you can rely on and communicate with? Do you have the family support structure there to lend a hand and provide emotional support? Do you have a partner or loved one that you have a strong relationships with?
Mental - how happy are you? How comfortable are you in being you? Do you have strong positive beliefs about yourself and the world around you? Can you be present in 'the moment'? And not worry too much about the past, or focus too much on the future?
These are just some of the aspects to the Health Triangle, but a combination of mental, social and physical components combine together to give you a way of identifying how healthy your life currently is.
